The Graduate Producer Association (GPA) implemented the project “Empowering Youth-Led Initiatives for Humanitarian Impact and Social Integration” under the Building Inclusive Peace in Sudan (BIPS) program, funded by DT Institute through the Rapid Response Grant (RRG) during 2024 in North Darfur.

The project aimed to strengthen the role of youth in humanitarian response and peacebuilding by supporting local youth-led initiatives in conflict-affected communities.
Over 150 youth — both male and female — from displaced and host communities directly benefited from this initiative.

Key Activities:

  • Conducted specialized trainings in Psychological First Aid (PFA), leadership, and community initiative management.

  • Provided technical and logistical support to strengthen youth-led initiatives’ operations.

  • Organized cultural and sports events to promote social cohesion and peaceful coexistence.

  • Delivered psychosocial support sessions for children and women affected by displacement.

Impact:
The project enhanced youth capacity and leadership in humanitarian response, fostered collaboration between community initiatives, and amplified youth voices as key actors in peacebuilding and community resilience across North Darfur.
